About Us

Di Abruzzo Italian Specialties is created by a second generation Italian American. The family is from the Abruzzo region of Italy and his Grandfather, which is his name sake, Giacomo, came to America in 1927 through Ellis Island. He settled in Philadelphia with his Grandmother and was a Tailor until his passing. He has been making his family's recipes since he was a young boy, having grown up watching and helping his grandmother and mother every Sunday. The family has lived in the area for the majority of 28 years with brief departures to New Orleans and NJ for business and returned to the place they love. Di Abbruzzo's offers all of their customers homemade Italian foods using century old recipes.
